As a family-owned business, we understand that it requires confidence in our commitment to food safety to share Mrs Prindables products with your family, as well as consume them yourself. We take this responsibility seriously.
There has been no evidence to suggest that COVID-19 is transmitted through food-related products, but we’d like you to know that we’ve taken the following measures to address the COVID-19 threat:
COVID-19 Task Force: We have established an internal task force to monitor the situation at the national level, meeting regularly to discuss and implement actions reflective of official guidance on the matter. We are continuously assessing the situation and adapting as information is reported by the World Health Organization (WHO), the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) as well as local public health agencies and regulatory bodies.
Our People: We are keeping our employees updated on the status of COVID-19 and continue to train on the virus as more details and recommendations are provided by the appropriate agencies. We continue to remind all employees to take proper precautions to prevent the spread of the virus and keep themselves safe, including staying home as needed. While at our facility, all employees are required to wear masks. We have also increased the number of hand-sanitizing stations within our facility and more closely monitor our already rigorous handwashing practices. This is on top of our existing safety requirements, including mandatory glove usage for all facility employees.
Our Facility: We have a full set of Good Manufacturing Practices in place to protect our entire facility, which includes strict standards for hygiene and cleanliness, such as maintaining sanitized workstations and thoroughly washing the apples used in production. We are prepared to take additional steps to deep clean the facility, as needed. In addition to our standard policies and procedures, we are providing employees with advice and guidelines on infection prevention in accordance with CDC, FDA and other authorities.
