We are pleased to present our new collaboration with Kribi Coffee Air Roastery! A little-known secret around the Mrs Prindables shop is how wonderful a cup of fresh-brewed coffee tastes with our Gourmet Caramel Apples. The flavors of toasted sugar in our signature caramel, richness of our chocolate, and crisp Granny Smith apples beautifully complement the deep roasted flavor of fresh coffee. It became clear to us that we should craft our own coffee beans and found the perfect partner in Kribi!
Kribi Coffee is named after a resort town and port in the founder’s home country of Cameroon, where he was raised on a coffee farm. In addition to their robust coffee knowledge, what makes Kribi unique is their innovative bean roasting method of, “air roasting.” This prevents the coffee beans from becoming too bitter, producing nothing but delicious, balanced coffee flavor. Each variety of coffee we offer has been carefully selected to be enjoyed with our Caramel Apples and Confections or on its own.

An Array of Coffee Bean Types
When determining which type of coffee bean to offer, we couldn’t choose just one. Both our Colombian and Ethiopian coffees perfectly accompany our chocolate and caramel treats, particularly our Triple Chocolate Jumbo Caramel Apple. The coffee beans come from Colombia and Ethiopia, respectively, and are freshly air roasted in small batches at Kribi Coffee’s Chicago-area facility. Ultimately, so much of the flavor in coffee comes from how the coffee beans are roasted, with air roasting creating nothing but smooth, easy-drinking flavor.
